This June gave us a memorable end to the 2024/5 NBA season with the finals going down to the very last game, which Oklahoma City Thunder ultimately won. Through the draft, teams such as the Lakers and Spurs have significantly improved their rosters, so we could be in for another close call next season!
If you’re researching who you think will net next season’s title, comparison sites like World Sports Network (WSN) can be a big help. There’s more to look at than the range of NBA resources available though. Here’s what I consider when determining whether a comparison site is a basket or a foul throw.
How Did I Evaluate World Sports Network?
There’s plenty to consider when evaluating whether a comparison site like WSN is worth trying. Here’s a quick list of what I look for:
- Range of NBA resources – It should be easy to locate the NBA resources on the WSN site. They should be thorough and most importantly helpful. In addition to articles, there should be a range of NBA betting sites to choose from with enough variety to ensure everyone can find the right one for themselves.
- Team credibility – I think that the team behind a comparison site is one of the most important factors in determining whether it’s actually any good. I like to read through the team members’ profiles and look for specific experience in terms of former roles and education.
- Customer support – I’ll also look at both the responsible gambling content and contact methods available at WSN to ensure players receive any support they need.
- Rating guidelines – The final thing I’ll be on the hunt for is how they select the sites they include. I expect to see a thorough process that considers all the things that are important to players, including payment methods, odds and bonuses.
Now that we know how I’ll be evaluating World Sports Network, let’s see whether they measure up. I’ll be giving each factor a rating out of five baskets depending on how well the site performs. Let’s get balling!
Range of NBA Resources – 4.5/5 Baskets
It couldn’t be easier to locate the NBA resources available at WSN. I simply went to their ‘Sports’ heading and then clicked on the ‘NBA’ link and was taken to all their materials, and there are a lot. Their content included predictions, betting tips and all the latest developments in the basketball world. They also provide guides on understanding how to bet on basketball and the different strategies, as well as a video guide which I found really handy!
My next port of call was to check out WSN’s reviews of their NBA betting sites to see whether they were equally impressive. I was pretty blown away by the level of research and detail which had gone into their reviews as they answered all my questions. Whether I wanted to know about the user experience, bonuses, deposit methods or customer support at a site, they had me covered. I really appreciated that they used tables and screenshots to break up the information as it can be a real chore to read lengthy reviews on other sites.
Why didn’t WSN net the full five marks for resources?
You might think I’m a little harsh for this, but the only reason I deducted marks from WSN for their resources is due to a lack of NBA betting options. Although I know that they’re the top sites on the market, I was disappointed that I was only able to find five betting sites for the NBA on their site. My solution would be to keep the same top five format and just add a few additional sites to create an extended top list!
Team Credibility – 5/5 Baskets
There’s absolutely nothing I could critique about the team behind WSN as they boast one of the most experienced rosters I’ve ever seen! Basketball fiends will be pleased to know that there are a number of specialists at WSN to guide you towards the best options. Kody Malstrom is one of these experts; he couples his six years of experience in the industry with being a keen Detroit Pistons fan. When I read his articles, it was clear he is a huge basketball fan himself as his work is packed full of first-hand insights.
Who else was an MVP?
When you’re reading through WSN’s basketball content, you’ll likely see Christian Jope’s name crop up quite a bit. He’s one of the team’s most prolific writers, and with six years on the job, he’s one of the most trusted voices around. It was also interesting to read that in the past he’s worked in the organization side of sports, including with the NBA.
Customer Support – 4.75/5 Baskets
I found it pretty easy to locate the contact methods available at WSN through the ‘About Us’ heading or a direct link at the bottom of the page. My favorite option is the ability to contact each of their experts individually through email as it allows you to ask specific questions. They also offer several other emails and social media handles if you want more rapid support.
What do they offer in terms of responsible gambling?
When it comes to responsible gambling, WSN is leading the way over their competitors. There’s a clear ‘Responsible Gambling’ heading at the top of the page, which leads you to a center brimming with helpful resources. They work with experts such as Daniel Umfleet,President of the Kindbridge Research Institute, which leads a range of mental health initiatives in sports. Daniel contributes to their responsible gambling content, which includes articles, lists of warning signs to look out for and a self-assessment tool to reflect on your relationship with gambling.
It was also handy that they provide videos for each of their resources for those who don’t want to read through pages and pages of information. There are also links to external helplines and state-specific services. One of my top features is the box which appears when you try to leave their responsible gambling center, which encourages you to reflect on whether you actually want to return to betting.
Why did I take a little off of WSN’s score?
I shaved a tiny amount off of WSN’s customer support score because they don’t offer live chat or a number to call where bettors can get instant support from their team. In such a fast-moving industry, I think it’s important that bettors can get the help they need immediately, so I would love to see them include one of these options in the future.
Rating Guidelines – 5/5 Baskets
WSN has one of the most comprehensive rating methods of any comparison site I’ve evaluated. They call their method BetEdge, and it considers everything I want it to, such as the payment methods, user experience, security and bonuses available at a site. I was also pleased to see that they test out each of the sites they review personally, so we can rest assured that their scores are as accurate as possible.
What stands out about WSN’s process?
It’s really clear when you read WSN’s guidelines just how much they prioritize the bettor in everything they do. For example, they consider responsible gambling and accessibility in their rating guidelines, which are two factors I don’t see talked about enough by their competitors. They also allow players to share their own feedback about a site through their thumbs up or down feature, so we can see what other real players think.
Would I recommend using WSN?
It’s safe to say that WSN is all net and no rim, which is why I’ve awarded them an impressive 4.8 out of 5 overall. Not only was it easy to find their resources, but they covered everything I wanted them to, ranging from expert tips to overall betting guides. Their team put me at ease as their experience let me know I was in safe hands.

When you’re using WSN, you’ll notice how much they prioritize you — providing a range of both responsible gambling and contact methods to offer any support you need. Overall, I’d certainly recommend you give the site a try if you want to boost your basketball knowledge before next season!
